“It was regrettable. That was kind of an interaction with Cowboys supporters out in front of us,” Jones explained during a Tuesday interview. “There was a swarm of Dallas supporters—not New York fans, Cowboys fans. The whole venue was brimming with enthusiasm for the Cowboys.”
He further clarified that the gesture was completely unintentional, happening amid the excitement following the team’s last score. “I just showed the wrong digit,” he remarked. “The action was inadvertently performed. I’m not kidding. If you want to call it accidental, you can. But it got resolved rapidly.”
